Calgary Zoo Reaches Out to Snow Leopards

The Calgary Zoo has supported Snow Leopard Conservancy since 2001. Brian Keating is the Head of Conservation Outreach for the Zoo. Last March, Brian and Dee Keating travelled to the Himalayan Mountains to meet with Rodney Jackson. While they were there, they went on “an unforgetable snow leopard trek.” Get a taste of the drama of seeing a wild snow leopard as you read an excerpt from Brian’s journal published in the November, 2007 edition of the Calgary Zoo Newsletter (pdf 484kb).
