How Livestock Herders in Dolpa View Snow Leopards

Despite Nepal’s continuing political crisis, community-based conservation groundwork is going forward. Two local people have been recruited on short term contracts to conduct surveys aimed at assessing livestock depredation in the Shey Phoksundo National Park, both in the core area and in the buffer zone. In spring of 2004, we should have enough completed questionnaires to begin data analysis.
