On March 27, 2010, Emma Evanari, a sixth-grader from Half Moon Bay, CA, held an art exhibit to benefit the Snow Leopard Conservancy. Her mother had told her about indigenous cultures whose members would sit by their fires at night and meditate and see their spirit animals. . .

“I found out mine was the snow leopard,” Emma said. She also worried about the dropping populations of wild snow leopards and felt stirred to action.
