Chhimi Rinzin Gurung

The Snow Leopard Conservancy is pleased to announce a promotion for Chhimi Rinzin Gurung, from Village Steward to Program Coordinator for Lo Manthang (Mustang) in Nepal. Chhimi received training in the application of APPA, and has participated or assisted in the facilitation of several United Nations Development Program and Annapurna Conservation Area Project-supported workshops in the community focused on skills development, pasture management, and credit and savings. Chhimi facilitates corral predator-proofing and livestock management activities (including testing of solar electric fencing), monitoring, education activities in the schools, and camera trapping.
